Candle Care Tips
Proper candle care includes the following steps:
- Trim the wick to at least ¼ inch before burning to prevent uneven burning, dripping, or flaring.
- Avoid drafts, vents, or air currents to prevent rapid or uneven burning, sooting, and excessive dripping.
- Burn the candle for 2-3 hours each time you light it to ensure even melting.
- Keep the wick trimmed to the length stated on the candle’s label.
Wax Melt Tips
- Remove melt from stem
- Add to electric wax burner or tealight burner
- Hot removal: If the wax is melted (liquid), use two cotton balls to absorb the liquid wax and dispose of them.
- Cold removal: Let the wax completely cool before attempting to remove your candles or melts from a mold. You can also place the mold in a refrigerator for a few minutes to make it easier to remove.
Storage Tips
- Keep them out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources.
- Store them in a drawer, cabinet, or closet for long-term storage.
- Avoid storing candles in the attic or garage if you live in a warm climate.
- Candles and wax melts can be kept for up to 24 months if stored correctly.
